KWM is honoured to have advised on AirTrunk’s  A$16 billion sustainable financing  facilities - the largest of its kind in Asia-Pacific & Japan and a landmark for responsible digital infrastructure with a financing framework that reflects AirTrunk’s leadership in innovation, transparency, and social impact.

The KWM financing team was led by partners Yuen-Yee Cho and Dan Flanagan with support from a wider team including senior associates Andrew Paisley and Wendy Yuan and solicitors Darrel Brown, Tianna Butler, Bianca Ng, Hue Pham, Alina Pletneva, Tiffany Cao, Claudia Flannery, Arthur Lui, Erika Serrano, Winston Li and Yasmin Alali, with support from our Singapore office led by partner Nicola Yeomans with Esther Yee and Sarah Ng.

Commenting on the deal, Yuen-Yee Cho said:

'As AirTrunk’s Australian legal counsel, we were privileged to partner with AirTrunk, Blackstone and their adviser team to deliver a groundbreaking financing package comprising several standalone debt facilities which introduces innovative terms and features not just for this sector, but also for the broader Asia-Pacific syndicated loan markets.'

Dan Flanagan said:

'After we supported Blackstone on their investment into AirTrunk, the Australian Financial Review had a (fairly bold) headline: “AirTrunk isn’t just a $23.5b deal. It’s a moment”.  It has been incredible to work with the AirTrunk team on this latest defining transaction for the market, with a very strong show of support from financiers for this emerging and exciting asset class.  We look forward to being a part of their continued success (and many more moments).'
