NSW Budget 2026-27: Rail, Metro and Light Rail Commitments Signalled in Transport Pipeline
This week, the 2026-27 NSW Budget was delivered by Treasurer Daniel Mookhey. Rail-related investment is led by a $16.1 billion commitment to Sydney Metro over four years, $2.4 billion in new investment for Parramatta Light Rail Stage 2, record annual heavy rail maintenance spending of $2.1 billion, and continued delivery of regional rail fleet renewal.
