Transitioning to Future Energy

|
Current site :      |

Global energy markets are undertaking a rapid transformation as the world focuses on the energy transition as a key lever in the path to net zero.

Australia has both an enormous challenge and opportunity if it is to emerge as a leader in this space. We need to replace our coal fired fleet, reconfigure our markets, update our regulatory frameworks and build out our transmission system. We also have some of the world’s best renewable resource, the potential to develop large green hydrogen and offshore wind projects and access to large Asian export markets who are also looking for green fuel solutions. Mallesons is at the forefront of innovation and reform in the energy sector, partnering with our clients to shape the energy transition.

This high cost is mainly attributed to the battery’s composition of several critical raw minerals, including lithium, cobalt, manganese, nickel and graphite[3]. As we share below, these minerals are hard to come by and supply is concentrated in the hands of a few countries.
