King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) have advised Australia and New Zealand Banking Group, Aware Super, BNP Paribas, National Australia Bank, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation and Westpac Banking Corporation Super as financiers to Zenith Energy Pty Ltd (Zenith Energy) in respect of its A$440 million, five year, syndicated debt facilities.

The debt facilities allowed Zenith Energy to refinance its existing facilities as well as providing committed capital to fund growth capital expenditure.

The KWM team was led by banking and finance partner Nathan Collins and senior associate Jonathan Siu, with assistance from solicitor Ellie Brennan.

Commenting on the financing, Nathan Collins said: “we are pleased to have advised the financiers on this transaction.  This transaction is the most recent of a number of financings for Zenith Energy with which we have been involved.  It demonstrates the appetite for financial institutions to support the energy transition of the mining and resources sector away from traditional forms of energy”.
