KWM advises JingDong Property on strategic A$250 million acquisition of Wacol Logistics Facility

King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) is pleased to have acted for JingDong Property Inc (JDP) on its successful acquisition of the Wacol Logistics Hub for approximately A$250m. The Wacol Logistics Hub is a premium logistics and distribution facility located within one of Brisbane’s prime industrial precincts.

JDP is the infrastructure investment and asset management arm of JD.Com, Inc., a Fortune Global 500 company and a leader in Chinese e-commence, retail, technology and logistics.

The transaction marks JDP’s first industrial infrastructure asset acquisition in Australia and represents a major addition to JDP’s growing presence within the Asia Pacific region.

The multi-disciplinary KWM team was led by partner David Bell and special counsel Matt McKeown with support from senior associate Kathy Tin and solicitors Vanessa Hang, Jack Kraft and Kelly Brosnan. Partner Mandy Tsang and senior associate Rouzbeh Ansari provided specialist insurance support.
