King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) is thrilled to be awarded the Excellence for Provision of Fintech Support Services Award at the Fintech Australia 2025 Finnies, for the second consecutive year.

The award recognises KWM’s standout work across the fintech landscape, spanning strategic advice on payments and crypto reforms, regulatory compliance and policy submissions.

KWM supports clients ranging from early-stage start-ups to global fintech leaders. As new technologies outpace legislation and regulatory scrutiny sharpens, KWM helps clients anticipate legal change, strengthen their compliance foundations, engage with regulators, and confidently bring services to market.

The award also recognises key partnerships, notably KWM’s ongoing involvement in the Reserve Bank of Australia’s groundbreaking eAUD pilots—the first first-of-their-kind to explore  a central bank digital currency in Australia.

Commenting on the award, Partner Urszula McCormack said:

"What an extraordinary collaboration we’ve been privileged to share with visionary leaders, regulators, investors and developers across the fintech ecosystem. Fintech is a feat of endurance with constant regulatory change, competition and volatility, and not for the faint-hearted. It is an honour for us to support those who persevere and bring their pioneering products to market."

Further commenting, Partner Dale Rayner said:

“KWM has been a finalist in this category for the past five years, culminating in back-to-back wins in 2024 and 2025. We are very proud of the team for their consistent excellence in the fintech space.”

Partner Max Allan added:

“We are delighted to support the fintech industry at this time of immense opportunity, and are very grateful for the opportunity to do so. Many congratulations and thank you to Fintech Australia for all the vital work it does for this vibrant market.”
