Mallesons has advised Quadrant Private Equity (Quadrant) on its significant minority investment in Advanced Navigation in connection with its Series C capital raise.

The primary round was led by Airtree Ventures, with participation from the National Reconstruction Fund Corporation (NRFC), alongside other investors.

Advanced Navigation develops artificial intelligence-based navigation and autonomous systems used in defence, aerospace and critical infrastructure, with customers including NASA, Boeing and Tesla.

The Mallesons team was led by Partner Anthony Boogert, supported by Partner Lizzie Knight (FIRB), Senior Associate Claudia Hollings (FIRB) and Solicitor Anna Sumsky (M&A).

Commenting on the transaction, Anthony Boogert said:

"It has been a pleasure to advise Quadrant on its investment in Advanced Navigation, a company operating at the forefront of Australia’s defence technology sector. This transaction reflects continued support for high-quality Australian businesses developing capabilities in strategically important sectors."

A further funding round is expected as part of the broader capital raise.
