Mallesons is pleased to have advised Neoen Australia on the procurement, delivery and operation and maintenance contracts for Stage 1 of its Goyder North Wind Farm in South Australia, including contracts with Vestas for the wind farm and Downer for the associated designated network assets.

Goyder North Wind Farm forms part of the Goyder Renewables Zone and is intended to be progressed in multiple stages, with Stage 1 comprising 48 turbines. Once fully developed, Neoen’s Goyder North Wind Farm is expected to comprise up to 99 turbines and deliver a significant volume of clean energy to the South Australian grid.

The Mallesons team was led by Partner Chris Dynon and Senior Associate Madeleine Coates, with support from solicitors Eugenia Munoz, Daniel Ho, Jarred Balm and Ben Kievet.

Commenting on the deal, Chris Dynon said:

“It was a pleasure to advise Neoen Australia on the procurement, delivery and operation and maintenance contracts for Stage 1 of its Goyder North Wind Farm – the initial stage of one of the largest renewable energy developments in South Australia. This continues Neoen’s success in developing large scale renewable generation projects across Australia over many years and in a variety of market conditions. This project is a significant step in the energy transition, and we look forward to seeing the benefits it will deliver for the region's clean energy supply, employment and community investment.”
