Jeremy specialises in restructuring and insolvency with expertise in formal and informal restructurings and recapitalisations and distressed lending and M&A. Jeremy also has experience advising on the ‘front-end’ in relation to non-distressed financings and investments. He advises public and private companies, Australian and international banks, private capital firms and insolvency practitioners.

His matter highlights include:

  • Tiger Resources: advising the company on its innovative cross-border restructuring via scheme of arrangement, which created precedent as the first ‘guarantor’ scheme approved in Australia
  • Speedcast: advising the TLB and RCF lenders owed more than US$700m on the cross-border Chapter 11 proceeding in respect of various Speedcast group members globally
  • WICET: advising the company on its restructuring of over A$1.6b senior secured debt via scheme of arrangement
  • Griffin Coal: advising the company on its restructuring options including with respect to its over US$1b finance debt
  • Ravenswood Gold: advising the company on its negotiations and refinancing of over A$1.4b secured debt
  • RCR Tomlinson: advising the administrators and liquidators on the external administration of one of Australia’s largest engineering groups, including landmark NSWSC directions proceedings
  • Bowen Coking Coal: advising the secured lender and receivers and managers on all aspects of the receivership, including the sale and recapitalisation of the group
