Joe is a health regulatory and disputes lawyer whose earlier career as a practising pharmacist gives him a unique perspective on the challenges and intricacies of Australia’s health and life sciences sector.
He advises clients on regulatory, compliance and commercial matters across therapeutic goods, medical devices, digital health, and telehealth. His work spans product approvals, recalls, advertising and online dispensing, listing and delisting of therapeutic products, as well as governance of human research and clinical trials. He has unique experience with emerging and experimental medicines.
Joe is also experienced in representing clients in regulatory investigations, disciplinary proceedings and disputes involving health regulators, and in navigating complex technical issues in high-stakes matters.
In addition to his regulatory and disputes work, Joe advises on a wide range of employment and workplace issues. His experience includes assisting clients with compliance and governance matters, workplace investigations, employment disputes and litigation, as well as strategic advice on workforce management and regulatory risk in clinical and research settings.
Joe practised as a pharmacist in Australia for over 7 years prior to practising law and has practical knowledge of the therapeutic goods space in Australia. Joe is fluent in both English and Mandarin, and has experience advising Chinese clients on both transactional matters and disputes in Australia.
