Tim is an intellectual property and regulatory lawyer who advises clients across the life sciences, retail and consumer goods, creative and technology industries. He has a diverse practice, spanning complex disputes, regulatory matters, commercial transactions, and intellectual property licensing and commercialisation, acting for multinational corporations, emerging businesses and government bodies alike.
Tim advises clients on regulatory, compliance and commercial matters across the pharmaceuticals, medical devices and health services sectors. He regularly assists clients with the regulatory frameworks governing advertising, product registration, pricing and reimbursement, and professional obligations in the Australian health sector.
Tim also represents clients in compliance and enforcement actions brought by regulators, including regulatory investigations and administrative review of regulatory decisions. Tim’s experience with Commonwealth government departments allows him to bring a practical understanding of how regulators exercise their compliance and enforcement powers — an insight that allows him to provide commercially grounded advice to clients facing regulatory scrutiny.
Beyond his regulatory work, Tim represents clients in disputes involving patents, trade marks, misleading or deceptive conduct and passing off. He also has substantial experience in prosecution matters before IP Australia.
Tim was a finalist in the 2020 Lawyers Weekly 30 Under 30 Awards in both the Health and Intellectual Property categories.
