Stuart is an experienced finance and projects lawyer having acted across a range of sectors and transaction structures including infrastructure, real estate, energy and general corporate financing. He has experience acting for all types of participants across a broad range of financing and project transactions with a particular focus on social and affordable housing, real estate financing and development and private credit.
His recent work highlights include:
- Real Estate Finance & Development:
- Advising Community Housing Limited on a number of social and affordable housing developments including the Smith Street BTR Project in Perth and HAFF funded projects across multiple states and territories;
- Advising Local: Residential on its development and financing for build-to-rent projects in Kensington, South Melbourne, Box Hill and Southbank;
- Advising ICD Property in connection with their financing arrangements of a residential subdivision project in Victoria.
- Public Private Partnerships & Infrastructure:
- Advised participants including sponsors, consortiums, financiers and contractors on bids, closings and ongoing operational matters including Ground Lease Models 1 and 2 for Social and Affordable Housing, New Grafton Correctional Centre, WA Schools, ACT Law Courts, Footscray Hospital and Puhoi to Warkworth Toll Road (NZ).
- Advised AEO Group in relation to the development and financing of the synchronous condenser at the Ararat Terminal Station, as well as ongoing financing and project developments and connections at the Elaine Terminal Station.
- Advised the financiers to coNEXA Water Utilities including the establishment of coNEXA’s green loan financing structure.
- Corporate Finance: Advising on syndicated, bilateral and club financings to listed and non-listed groups including financings for blue chip ASX groups, emerging corporates and private groups.
