Westpac: Complex strategic reviews of the Westpac Group’s insurance businesses, including:
- transactions for share sales of the Westpac Group’s life insurance business to TAL Dai-ichi Life Australia Pty Limited, and of the general insurance business to Allianz Australia Insurance Limited, together with exclusive 20 year strategic alliances for the provision of life and general insurance to Westpac's customers*
- restructures of the insurance businesses, including the transfer of the life insurance business of St George Life Limited to Westpac Life Insurance Services Limited, requiring consideration of prudential requirements, appropriate governance, management of conflicts of interest, and Board delegations*
Westpac: Working collaboratively with the business to carefully manage regulatory investigations, disputes and incidents, to ensure the right customer outcomes, efficient and appropriate rectification and remediation, and good working relationships with regulators*
Westpac: Guiding the insurance businesses' responses to the Royal Commission into Misconduct in the Banking, Superannuation and Financial Services Industry, and taking a proactive role in relation to subsequent regulatory reform.
