Martin is a Senior Associate in Mallesons’ dispute resolution team who has significant experience in class actions, financial services and commercial litigation.
His experience includes acting for listed and other large organisations in class actions in the Federal Court of Australia and State supreme courts, as well as in complex commercial, contractual and property disputes and incident investigations.
With a particular focus on disputes concerning securities and financial products, clients value Martin’s broad experience and his collaborative approach to managing complex proceedings across a variety of industries.
Martin’s experience includes:
- Medibank shareholder class action: acting for Medibank in a consolidated shareholder class action in the Supreme Court of Victoria in relation to alleged misleading or deceptive conduct and continuous disclosure contraventions.
- AMP commissions class action: acting for a number of AMP entities in a class action in the Federal Court of Australia in relation to the payment of commissions to financial advisers and insurance products.
- AMP superannuation class action: acting for a number of AMP entities in a class action in the Federal Court of Australia in relation to superannuation fees and charges.
- Regulatory notices: advising on notices and investigations by ASIC and AUSTRAC.
